Mary Del Ciancio has a degree in journalism from Ryerson University, and 18 years of professional writing and editing experience.

As a freelance writer and editor, Mary works with multiple clients from a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, government, grocery retail, real estate, security, camp recreation and other industrial markets. Her expertise includes researching, interviewing and writing articles, web copy and white papers for magazines, websites, newsletters, promotional brochures and more. She is a strong communicator with a knack for juggling multiple deadlines.

It doesn`t matter which industry or topic she is covering - from biotechnology and manufacturing to logistics, security or education - Mary has the ability to turn any subject matter into compelling copy for a variety of audiences, both in print and online.

She is organized, has excellent research and communications skills, and a very strong understanding of Canadian Press style.

Before launching a freelance career, Mary was responsible for developing, overseeing the execution of, and managing the editorial content for a 28-page magazine (seven issues a year), a weekly electronic newsletter and the magazine’s website. This includes researching, writing and editing content, interviewing industry experts, managing the magazine`s social media presence, moderating roundtables and managing a team of columnists, freelance writers and editorial advisory board members.

Mary also has experience writing video scripts and delivering the content on camera.

She is the multi-tasking mom of three boys, and enjoys being the sous chef during her husband`s culinary experiments.
